Every project has its own story, and every creative detail is a story on its own \u2013 therefore, every living space created is different and beautifully authentic.<\/p>\n
\u201cHappy Morla\u201d received its name because that was our first impression when we started planning and visualizing this space\u2014Happy. We all had a strong intuition that this space would become a gem, and this made us even more motivated to take care of each and every detail \u00ac\u2013 the chosen materials, the combination of surfaces and the courage of implementing ideas, even when it felt impossible.<\/p>\n
We ran into obstacles on the way, of course, creating some good stories. For example, there was the idea of incorporating a herringbone pattern in marble for the bathrooms. We had no idea that this would create such a huge challenge! Camila, as project manager, took this artistic idea very serious, visiting stone dealers across the island to find the best Carrera marble, and then convincing them to divide the piece into small and precisely cut tiles. What we got was 7,5cm x 13cm small pieces with 2cm thickness. Then, the real challenge began; the workman had to fulfil our vision by laying the tiles all very equal and precise so that the beauty of the marble could be appreciated, even as a herringbone pattern. He did a great job!!<\/p>\n
Then came the moment to create the vision for the kitchen design, which was originally a traditional style from the 1950s with its visible furniture structure. However, nobody wants these old-hat drawers which get jammed frequently\u2013therefore our fantastic carpenter, Josep, managed to integrate modern comforts by combining newer standards but keeping with the strict design. Josep, you are the best!<\/p>\n
So where did we find brass knobs, but with a modern touch, to break the original 50s style? Thorough research sent us to a small manufacturer in Scandinavia who seemed to have a similar idea, or at least it was just a wonderful coincidence.<\/p>\n
Working on these special details brought us to this great success and gave us motivation to carry out the entire concept. Keeping us focused and cheerful.<\/p>\n
The results clearly reveal the dedication of the incredible team who was behind the project \u2013 from visionary, architect, project manager, contractor, builder, engineer, carpenter, blacksmith, glazier to interior designer, and last and not least the great financial & admin team.<\/p>\n
A project only becomes as good as the team that works together and enjoy the development of such a great project.<\/p>\n
